About the Automaker
Li Auto was founded in 2015 by Li Xiang and built its success on extended-range electric (EREV) SUVs tailored to Chinese families - large cabins, "sofa and fridge" comfort, and no charging anxiety. It was the first Chinese new force to reach annual profitability.
Key Models (2026 Lineup)
| Model | Powertrain | Segment |
|---|---|---|
| L9 / L8 / L7 / L6 | EREV | Large family SUV |
| MEGA | BEV | Flagship MPV |
| i6 / i8 | BEV | Pure-electric SUV |
2026 Sales & Market Ranking
Li Auto delivered 193,472 vehicles in H1 2026, down 5.1% year-on-year - the only top new force with a decline. June was 30,895 units. The pure-electric i6 has become a stable pillar (four months as mid-large SUV sales champion), but overall growth has softened under competition from rivals like the AITO M9, NIO ES8 and Zeekr 9X.
Development Status
Li Auto is defending its EREV base while accelerating BEV adoption. The i-series pure-electric line is the key growth lever, and the brand is iterating faster on smart driving to counter rivals' tech advances.
